Are you highly organised, confident dealing with people and looking for a role where no two days are the same? This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong administrative or regulatory background or keen to build a career within local government and planning.
You will support work on a new local plan and other planning policy work, contributing to research, evidence gathering, consultation responses and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with senior colleagues on high-profile projects, including Fens Reservoir, gaining first-hand experience of complex planning processes.
You will lead the Council’s planning strategy and specialist services, guiding how Fenland grows and develops over the long term. A key priority will be the Council’s need to deliver a new Local Plan under the reformed plan-making system, supported by a clear spatial strategy, strong evidence base and effective neighbourhood planning.
