Job Description:

Join us as a planning consultant (DM) and you’ll help to shape the future of planning. You’ll be part of a large, friendly team with an outstanding track record in development management, planning policy and consultancy services. This is an unrivalled opportunity to be involved in a wide range of projects, from hospitals to libraries, commercial premises to residential properties. What you’ll be doing:

processing mainly ‘minors and others’ planning applications concisely, accurately and in a timely manner
preparing and presenting evidence on appeal for clients
negotiating with applicants and agents to obtain a high quality outcome
positively supporting and sharing your knowledge with your team
getting involved with service improvements to make your team as effective and efficient as possible
providing high quality advice to your clients and the public.

What we’re looking for:

membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
relevant experience in a previous position and experience working as a private or public sector planning officer or consultant
the ability to manage your own time and meet challenging deadlines
excellent knowledge, understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation
the ability to get to remote building/construction sites.
