We are seeking an experienced DM Planner to lead our new district-wide Development Management Team. Leading a team of nine planners and reporting to the Head of Development Management & Enforcement, you will lead the team on a wide range of planning work, from pre-applications discussions, major and minor applications, appeals, and have delegated authority to make planning decisions on all non-major applications.
You will be part of the Departmental Management Team and contribute to our improvement programme with support from colleagues at PAS. You will be an experienced DM planner, comfortable with presenting at planning committee and appearing at appeal hearings and inquiries. You will also have experience of leading others, be a qualified town planner and a member of the RTPI.
Needless to say, you will be ambitious, capable of delivering great customer service, and driving excellence in terms of performance. You will be fully supported by the Director and Head of Development Management in terms of direct professional support and investment in your own learning and development. In turn, you will provide suitable mentoring, guidance and arrange training for your team members. This role would suit someone looking to build significant and varied management experience within planning.
