Planning Decisions Manager – Strategic Applications

Grade - MM2
Salary - £46,791 - £59,850 pa

Permanent, Full Time contract

You will play a pivotal role in steering a number of key regeneration projects successfully through the statutory development management process and delivering high quality outcomes. Excellent customer focus is essential as is your ability to manage these projects to agreed budgets, timescales and quality criteria. For this role you will need to be confident and effective in dealing with applicants and their agents, Councillors, residents and other key stakeholders.

The role will also play a key role developing, overseeing and coordinating the Service’s PPA strategy and will work closely with the S106 and CIL Infrastructure Manager on coordination of S106, as well as working closely with other colleagues in the wider Planning Service and the Council as a whole
Successful candidates will have acquired substantial practical experience within a development management environment with a strong track record project managing major regeneration projects through the planning process and achieving high quality outcomes. In addition, you will have a degree in Town and Country Planning and will have worked in development management at a local authority in the UK over a sustained period coupled with an in-depth knowledge of planning legislation.
