The London office is based in the heart of Soho and has approximately 70 people, specialising in Planning, Landscape Planning and Design, Graphic Communications, Architecture, Viability and Environmental Planning.
Our established London Planning team has an exciting opportunity for a talented, dynamic and ambitious Senior Planner to work alongside the Director, Three Planning Associate’s and a Planner on a broad range of London based projects including: estate regeneration, new masterplans, large scale mixed-use schemes and small/medium sized urban applications. The London Planning team is fortunate to be involved in some of the capital’s largest and most important projects and has a significant role to play in helping to deliver regeneration and new development across many parts of London.
The successful candidate should have excellent communications skills, relevant experience and technical skills and a willingness to learn. Key responsibilities of the role include:
• Working as part of a team on large scale regeneration projects
• Co-ordination of multi-disciplinary project teams and project management
• Assisting with major applications (Outline, Full, Sub Framework Plan and Reserved Matters)
including; attending meetings, preparation of meeting minutes, deliverable trackers, programmes,
drafting planning statements, public consultation and responses to consultees
• Preparation, submission and negotiation of medium sized planning applications including:
small/medium scale residential and commercial schemes, S.73/S.96 applications, discharge of
conditions, advertisement consents, Listed Building Consents and temporary permissions
• Conducting research and site appraisals on projects
• Coordination of project tenders and client presentations
• Policy representations
• Developing client relationships
• Further raising the teams profile and Business Development in and outside of London
It is essential that candidates:
• Are MRTPI qualified
• Have solid planning experience, ideally within London
• Have experience of working on residential and mixed-use developments
• Have strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Used to working with minimal supervision and have a strong ability to use their own initiative
• Are committed and have an eye for detail
• Have an ability to use their own initiative
• Have a strong teamwork ethic
Additional desirable attributes would be:
• Consultancy experience
