Planning Policy Team Leader (MDC8691)
£40,478 - £44,539 per annum plus £3,000 Market Supplement (pay award pending)

Mansfield has ambitious plans for growth and we are looking for dynamic and motivated staff to help deliver key projects. We have an up-to-date Local Plan that sets the spatial vision for the District and a draft masterplan for the redevelopment of key sites within the town centre.
 
Mansfield also has a proud industrial heritage as demonstrated by the grand architecture in our town centre Conservation Areas and ensuring that new development enhances the quality of place is vital to the success of our regeneration plans. 

As Planning Policy Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of Officers leading on the local plan review, production of a range of supplementary planning documents, supporting the delivery of the Council’s Climate Change Strategy and engaging with Severn Trent to support their £76 million investment in green and blue infrastructure in the town.

We therefore require an ambitious person to provide effective leadership of the team and help to deliver the Council’s Growth agenda. You will have significant experience of taking development plan documents through from inception to adoption and will be able to demonstrate the skills required to motivate colleagues and ensure that team objectives are achieved.
