We are currently recruiting for a Planning Enforcement Officer to support the Development Control Team with particular emphasis into breaches of planning control and monitoring of development sites. This is a career graded role. However, we are looking to appoint on the entry level grade. 

To provide enforcement support to the Development Control Team with particular emphasis on investigations into breaches of planning control and monitoring of development sites. 

 As a Level 1 Officer you will be supervised by a Level 2 Enforcement Officer. You will monitor and visit development sites to ensure planning conditions are being complied with. You will negotiate with developers when required and investigate breaches of planning control. You will also undertake a variety of administrative duties related to planning enforcement.

To be appointed at Level 1 applicants should have experience in dealing with the public in a service environment, have experience of using computer packages and organising their own work. You must be able to write clearly, concisely and accurately and have achieved qualifications equivalent to Level 2 on the National Skills framework in English and Maths.
