Senior Planner

Enforcement, Development Services

37 Hours per week

Permanent

£39,493 to £42,503

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Planner to join the planning enforcement team.

 

You will work alongside another Senior Planner providing planning assessment reports on identified breaches of planning control. This post will also be responsible for defending the Council’s position at appeal stage.

 

You will take the lead on negotiating amendments to planning breaches and the post will allow you to gain experience of dealing with a wide range of development schemes.

 

The post also provides direct management opportunities by advising and supporting enforcement officers within the team and liaising with other planning colleagues.

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate negotiation skills and attention to detail.

 

If you are an experienced Planner with some enforcement experience or knowledge and looking to broaden your planning skills then this post may be for you.

 

You should have a degree or postgraduate qualification in planning or related discipline and be a full member of the RTPI (or be able to show evidence that you are actively working towards obtaining full RTPI membership).
