Location: Westgate, Barnsley, South Yorkshire (This would be the normal base of work for this role, however, due to the current Government guidance around social distancing and our evolving ways of working, this means that you may be required to work remotely (e.g. from home/other locations). We will discuss this with you during the recruitment process.)

About the Post:
We are looking for an ambitious candidate who is ready for a challenge in a rewarding job.
As a Senior Planning Officer you will be responsible for project managing and determining planning applications for major development proposals within a successful Development Management Team. You will deputise for the Group Leader when it is needed and you will be able to assist in mentoring junior members of staff.
You will be an experienced planner, with a sound working knowledge of development management who will work confidently with elected members, developers and partners to deliver the best development in Barnsley.
