We are looking for an enthusiastic planning policy officer to help to deliver the Fylde Local Plan to 2032 (incorporating Partial Review), this work will include producing a number of Supplementary Planning Documents. The post holder will report to the Principal Planning Policy Officer and will play an important role in the preparation of the Council’s next Local Plan, supplementary planning documents, neighbourhood plans and other related functions. The council is dedicated to delivering a high quality customer focussed planning policy service and this role will allow the successful candidate to make an important contribution to shaping the built, rural and coastal environment of the borough.
With a good knowledge of the forward planning system you should have at least one year’s experience of working in planning policy. You should be well organised, focussed, forward thinking, analytical, a team player, and should have a flexible approach to work. Particular experience and knowledge of local plan delivery is important.
