Competitive

Crowthorne, South Central

Description

Graduate Planner 2022
Application Deadline – Thursday 28th July 2022 5.00pm BST

About You

You will be a graduate of (or graduating from) an RTPI accredited course looking to gain experience in a multi-disciplined consultancy. You will be confident in managing your own time, being able to deliver projects ago strict deadlines. You will be excited to come up with solutions for clients, as well as assisting senior colleagues in researching and helping support more complex strategic proposals.

Although not essential, you may have already or will be working towards a post graduate qualification on an RTPI accredited course. It would also be helpful if you had a driving license, and access to a vehicle. Experience of facing working experience either face to face or on the phone with clients would be beneficial.

What You’ll Do

You’ll mostly be working on projects across the London & Surrey region and some work in Thames Valley, providing professional planning support to Architects, Developers and Local property owners in the preparation and submission of planning applications – including writing professional planning design and access statements, and project managing other necessary consultant reports required to support the submission of planning applications. You’ll be in regular contact with your Local Planning Authority peers through the course of application submissions to rebut or deal with any concerns raised through the course of an application submission. You will also provide clients with regular updates on application progress, and advice on strategy. You will also have the opportunity to support some strategic projects, Neighbourhood Plan preparations, as well as dealing with the preparation of Appeals where appropriate.

Why ET Planning?

Based in in our Crowthorne (Berkshire) offices with close and walkable access to a train station, you will benefit from a generous flexible working policy, with the ability to agree flexible working hours with your line manager, the ability to work remotely (though you will always have access to the offices), and the ability to accrue and use Flexi Leave. Our business model means that we’re not dependant on completing time sheets (most of us have had to do that in past companies and hated it), so there won’t be an expectation to attribute all of your working hours to specific projects in excruciating detail. You’ll have the opportunity at the Graduate Planner level to make your own sales from warm leads, along with benefitting from the requisite compensation. As part of a fast growing, young and dynamic team, you’ll experience a positive supportive culture where we all have the opportunity to grow and succeed by helping each other. You’ll also have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects across multiple authority areas which will support fast professional and career development.
