SALARY UP TO £37,274 PER ANNUM PAY AWARD PENDNG (FOR 37 HOURS PER WEEK) PLUS MARKET FORCES SUPPLEMENT OF £3,000 PLUS PAYMENT OF RTPI PROFESSIONAL FEE

What are the roles?
Planning Officers / Trainee Planning Officers
We welcome experienced officers knowledgeable in the field of Development Management. In this role you will play a significant part in the efficient delivery of a wide range of planning application types with opportunities to progress to more complex schemes as your experience grows.
You will have a good knowledge of planning related legislation. You will be a strong team player who can contribute positively to the team and be able to demonstrate initiative and good judgement in making recommendations on a wide range of planning matters.
We also welcome candidates with no prior experience of planning that are motivated and willing to learn. The trainee role is career graded to enable progress to Planning Officer level. Applicants who wish to study to do an undergraduate or post-graduate planning degree will be provided with on-the-job training, and subject to any budgetary restrictions, be sponsored to undertake the appropriate University course or Apprenticeship scheme, including day release.

The successful candidates must be driven, enthusiastic and reliable. Applicants must have a driving licence which is valid in the UK and use of a vehicle.
