As one of four section leads in the Planning and Development Service you will be part of the Service’s Management Team helping to establish service priorities and leading on the delivery of them.

The Place

Ashford is an ambitious and innovative authority within the "Garden of England”. It’s a beautiful place to live and work and we have everything including an excellent quality of life, unparalleled transport links (including HS1 to London), heritage towns and villages, a major Designer Shopping Outlet, areas of outstanding natural beauty, varied coastline within easy reach and house prices which are lower than in much of the south east.

We are the focus of significant national investment including the South Ashford Garden Community that will deliver over 7,000 homes, the Newtown Works regeneration scheme involving a disused heritage site and the planned relocation of Brompton Cycles to make Ashford its home.

·An ability to drive innovation and change and to react positively to altering demands and circumstances.

·A strong track-record in town planning and a relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
