Description

We are recruiting a Planning Officer at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 7 hours 24 minutes per day)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Working hours can be split between home and office depending on specific task requirements – Hengoed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Team Caerphilly and provide support across the wider Planning Services.

We pay an attractive salary of £33,024 - £35,745 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

This post provides a real opportunity for a planning graduate, or a more experienced planning professional looking for a new challenge, to work within a high-profile development management environment and develop their career, whilst contributing to the delivery of the ambitious regeneration objectives underpinning the Council’s Team-Caerphilly agenda.

The post holder will benefit from flexible/agile working arrangements and will focus on the processing of a broad range of householder and minor planning applications.


For the role, we ask that you have:

·Level 6 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example, a degree or Diploma Course.

·Good working knowledge of planning law.

·A Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings and undertake site visits.
