Salary:  Grade 10 – SCP32 £38,296 to SCP35 £41,496

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced planning professional to join the Authority’s busy Development Management Team as the Council seeks to positively respond to current economic, social and environmental challenges.

You will carry a varied caseload but will focus on facilitating a discrete range of major, complex and controversial schemes through the planning process. Working closely with the Council’s Placemaking Officer, you will lead on the delivery of the Council’s ambitious Team Caerphilly, Place shaping and Placemaking agendas which include its Caerphilly Homes housebuilding program, the successful LUF funded Caerphilly Wellbeing and Leisure Centre, the redevelopment of the Caerphilly Transport Interchange together with a range of DNS projects which will come forward during 2023.

This will be a challenging but rewarding role which provides a real opportunity for a career minded individual to broaden their experience in a high-profile environment.
