Vivid Consulting is a growing Norfolk based multi-disciplinary consultancy providing a wide range of planning and architectural services. Based in the centre of Norwich, we have an established presence in Norfolk and an expanding workload across the UK.

We are now seeking an experienced Town Planner / Planning Consultant to join our growing team in a senior position working closely with our two Directors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional to join a vibrant and progressive business, particularly someone who is seeking greater responsibility along with genuine variety and progression.

The role

You will have the opportunity to:

• Manage appointments from initial enquiry to completion. • Provide planning advice to a varied client base. • Prepare and review planning applications, appeals, statements and accompanying third party reports and surveys. • Act as a Lead Consultant liaising directly with clients, consultants, planning authorities and all other key stakeholders associated with planning appointments. • Attend meetings and site visits. • Support and mentor junior team members. • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.

You will always have direct access to the Directors and meaningful involvement with our clients. You will be expected to engage positively by telephone before resorting to email and take ownership of multiple appointments at any one time. You will be expected to manage your own workloads and those of others effectively whilst being able to make sound commercial decisions on behalf of both our clients and the business. You will have the autonomy to manage projects and client relationships, ensuring that our services are delivered professionally, efficiently and profitably.

About you

We are looking for an experienced planning professional who is:

• Confident with a friendly approach when dealing with fellow staff, clients and local authorities. • Able to manage projects independently. • A strong communicator and highly organised. • Commercially aware and solution focused. • Proactive and keen to take responsibility. • Interested in developing their career within a growing consultancy.

MRTPI status would be advantageous but is not essential.
