Planner

Landmark Planning are currently looking to hire a Planner as part of a fast track directorship opportunity.
We are seeking someone with experience in development management (public or private sector), an understanding of or eagerness for business management and development, and strong client facing and relationship building potential.
The ideal candidate will have between 2-6 years Planning experience and a familiarity with Leicester, the Leicestershire and the East Midlands. We require someone with adaptability and the proactiveness needed to manage daily Planning work whilst helping to develop and take an active stake in the business.
We hope to progress a successful candidate to a directorship role within two years.
At Landmark, our projects are varied in scale and nature, and the role will reflect this. The successful candidate will receive mentoring from our Principal Planner and Managing Director, Planner, whilst also mentoring junior colleagues. While help and support will be available at need, the candidate will manage their own workload, eventually building their own customer base. In order to maximise the candidate’s development the role will be primarily office based, although hybrid flexibility is reasonably applied.
The Company has a strong brand image and a well established reputation and client base in and around Leicester and the East Midlands. We are looking to grow, and this provides an excellent opportunity for a young and motivated Planner.

Essential Skills, Traits and Interests:
- RTPI Accredited Masters Degree
- An experience of dealing with or consulting on Planning Applications
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both junior and senior colleagues
- Commercial awareness
