The guide salary is £48,000 – £60,000 plus benefits, depending on your experience.
The consultancy
This is the planning team of a major national property adviser. It works across the private and public sectors, and its clients range from landowners and developers to public bodies. Planners work alongside colleagues in other property disciplines. That gives them a broad view of how schemes are brought forward and delivered.
What you will be doing
- Leading a varied caseload of development planning and strategic land projects
- Managing commercial and residential schemes from early appraisal through to consent
- Preparing and overseeing planning applications and appeals
- Contributing to plan-making work, including promoting sites through local plan processes
- Advising clients with confidence and building long-term relationships
- Guiding and supporting more junior planners in the team
About you
- Substantial UK planning experience, ideally in consultancy, and ready to work at Principal level
- A track record of running projects and handling clients independently
- Sound knowledge of the planning system, policy and the appeals process
- Strong written and commercial skills
- MRTPI, or well on the way to chartership
