Senior Planner – Bedford (Flexible / Home‑Based)

A well‑established, design‑led planning consultancy in Bedfordshire is looking to appoint a Senior Planner to support a strong and growing project pipeline. The practice works across residential, mixed‑use and strategic land schemes, with a reputation for thoughtful, commercially grounded planning advice and long‑standing client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants autonomy, direct client exposure, and a genuinely flexible working pattern — including the option to work predominantly from home.

The Role

You’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects, including:

• Preparing and managing planning applications, appeals and development appraisals
• Leading pre‑application enquiries and shaping planning strategy
• Coordinating external consultants and managing project timelines
• Providing clear, commercially focused advice to clients
• Supporting senior colleagues on larger or more complex schemes
• Attending meetings, site visits and stakeholder discussions as required

About You

You’ll likely bring:

• MRTPI status (or close to submission)
• Experience gained in consultancy or a local authority
