About the opportunity
Our client, the planning team of a major national property adviser, is always keen to hear from talented Associate Directors. There's no closing date, so you can talk to us when the timing suits you. The role can be based in London, Cambridge or Bristol, whichever works best for you and your clients.
The consultancy
This is a well-established national business with a planning team that covers a broad spread of work for private and public sector clients. Planners there work alongside colleagues in other property disciplines, which helps when you are advising on complex or multi-faceted schemes.
What you will be doing
Work varies by office and by client, but typically includes:
- Leading development planning projects across commercial and residential schemes
- Advising on strategic land promotion, from early appraisal through to allocation and permission
- Managing planning applications and appeals, including strategy, evidence and negotiation
- Contributing to plan-making work and local plan representations
- Building client relationships, developing new business and supporting the growth of the team
- Guiding and mentoring more junior planners
About you
- A chartered planner (MRTPI) with significant consultancy experience at senior level, ready for or already working at Associate Director level
- A solid record across applications, appeals and promotion work
- Confident leading projects and advising clients directly
- Commercially aware, with an interest in helping to grow a team and a client base
Salary guide: £58,000 – £75,000 plus benefits, with London typically around 10% higher. The final figure depends on your experience and the office.
