Are you highly organised, confident dealing with people and looking for a role where no two days are the same? This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong administrative or regulatory background or keen to build a career within local government and planning.
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑focused individual to join our friendly and supportive Planning Team. Previous planning experience is not essential – what matters most is your ability to manage information, communicate clearly and work methodically in a busy environment.
As a Planning Enforcement Officer, you’ll help ensure that development across Fenland is carried out appropriately and in line with agreed permissions. The role involves investigating reports of potential breaches of planning control, maintaining accurate case records, corresponding with residents and businesses, and supporting proportionate, fair outcomes.

Enforcement sits within the Council’s Planning Service, which values teamwork, support and shared problem‑solving. You’ll work closely with other council services and external organisations as part of a collaborative "One Team” approach.
