Working at North Northamptonshire Council
North Northamptonshire Council is the unitary authority created in 2021 from the former Corby, East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough councils and the northern part of Northamptonshire County Council. It serves the four main towns of Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough and Rushden along with a wide rural area, and runs all local council services.
The area is one of the fastest-growing in the East Midlands, with large planned extensions, sustainable urban extensions and logistics development along the A14 corridor. Its planning teams are bringing the inherited local plans together into a single plan for North Northamptonshire, alongside development management, growth and regeneration work across the towns.
