The planning team sits within a global commercial real estate adviser, which means you would work on significant schemes alongside colleagues from across the wider property business.
The consultancy
This is a planning team within an international property adviser, working for investors, developers and occupiers. The office is in Manchester city centre (M2). The team handles a broad mix of projects, so there is real scope to develop your experience and take on more responsibility as you progress.
What you will be doing
- Supporting work on major mixed-use, commercial, residential and regeneration schemes
- Helping to shape development strategy for a range of clients
- Preparing and coordinating planning applications
- Contributing to appeals, including research, evidence and drafting
- Giving clear planning advice to investors, developers and occupiers
- Working with colleagues in other property disciplines, and with project teams and local authorities
About you
- Experience in planning, gained in either private practice or a local authority
- A degree in planning or a related subject; RTPI membership, or working towards it, is desirable
- A good grasp of planning policy and the application process
- Clear, confident written and spoken communication
- Curiosity about the commercial side of development, and the drive to take on more over time
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 + benefits (guide), depending on experience.
