The salary guide is £58,000 – £75,000 plus benefits, depending on experience.
The consultancy
Our client is a long-established property consultancy, rooted in the East of England and the Oxford-Cambridge area. Its planning team works alongside colleagues in other property disciplines. That gives you a broad client base, from landowners and estates to developers and investors, and plenty of scope to bring in your own contacts and ideas.

- Leading strategic land and local plan promotion projects from first appraisal through to allocation and permission
- Advising on residential and commercial development, including applications and appeals
- Working on rural and estate planning matters for private and institutional landowners
- Managing client relationships and helping to win new work
- Guiding, mentoring and developing planners within the team
- Contributing to the commercial side of the team, such as fee proposals, resourcing and project delivery
About you
- You are a chartered town planner (MRTPI) with substantial consultancy experience
- You have a record of managing complex projects and securing consents, ideally including strategic land or plan-making work
- You are confident leading clients and colleagues, and comfortable discussing commercial matters
- You are interested in business development and in building a team
